Requirements
- Strong background in EPC project execution, with proven experience in technical safety engineering for offshore oil & gas facilities, particularly FPSOs in the Detailed Design Phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the review of technical safety deliverables during the EPC phase (e.g., Safety Philosophies, Fire & Gas Detection Layouts, Escape Route Analysis, Hazardous Area Classification).
- Ensure compliance with international safety standards (API, IEC, ISO, DNV, ABS) and project-specific requirements.
- Interface with design disciplines, client representatives, and third-party certifying authorities to ensure safety requirements are fully integrated.
- Support and review HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA, and FERA studies.
- Provide technical guidance on fire protection systems, gas detection, blast protection, and emergency systems.
- Review and validate safety system designs, including ESD, PSD, F&G, and evacuation systems.
- Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and safety audits.
- Support the development of ALARP demonstration documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Process, Safety, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in technical safety engineering, with a strong focus on FPSO projects.
- Proven track record in EPC project execution.
- In-depth knowledge of system safety design and offshore safety regulations.
- Proficiency with safety tools and software (e.g., PHAST, PIPENET, DNV Safeti).
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
