Introduction
What are you going to do
Demonstrate personal SHES leadership and excellent SHES behaviors at all times and actively participate in Toolbox Talks, Task Instructions and site safety walkthroughs during construction phase.
Ensure that Contractors/Subcontractors are conducting engineering design in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and safe practices.
Prepare quantity estimates, take offs, cost plans, and support bidding/tender stages.
Monitor contractor progress and valuations, processing interim payments and variations.
Evaluate variation orders, cost claims, and change management.
Participate in cost control meetings and support procurement with pricing and commercial evaluations.
Ensure RLIC and Port authority involvement and endorsement of all the activity related to the Port dredging and Berth areas development.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or Engineering.
6 years experience in Engineering roles, including 2 years in the Oil & Gas Industry and in cost control, contract/quantity surveying roles in oil & gas or industry.
Experience preparing valuations, claims, and reconciliation on large projects.
Familiarity with standard contracts (FIDIC, NEC, reimbursable/cost-plus), and cost tracking tools.
Strong analytical, Excel, and communication skills to interface with engineering, procurement, and contractors
Familiar Dredging and earth movement works
Fluent in written and oral English.
Strong leadership skills, personal integrity, experience guiding and assisting contractor teams.
Strong analytical, organizational, coordination and planning skills.
Good written and verbal communications skills and ability to interact / interface at all levels.
Good mediation skills including conflict resolution, problem-solving, creative thinking, influencing and empathy
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, etc.
