What are you going to do
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing civil works from planning through to completion
- Leading engineers, supervisors, site teams and subcontractors
- Managing project programmes and key delivery milestones
- Overseeing budgets, forecasting, cost control and variations
- Procurement and subcontractor management
- Coordinating plant, labour, materials and project resources
- Managing client and stakeholder relationships
- Maintaining safety, quality and environmental standards
- Identifying and managing project risks
- Providing regular reporting on progress and commercial performance
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil construction
- Strong experience across earthworks, drainage, roads, utilities, bulk earthworks or general civil infrastructure
- Experience managing projects from mobilisation through to completion
- Strong commercial and contract management capability
- Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams
- Good understanding of programming, procurement and cost control
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar qualifications advantageous
- Defence experience beneficial, but not essential
