Introduction

Brunel has partnered with one of Australia's leading energy organisations to recruit a Well Engineering Technologist within their Conventional Assets team, based in Perth.

This role supports the ongoing planning, execution, and analysis of drilling, completion, and well lifecycle management activities across onshore Western Australia.

You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, championing well performance, standards compliance, and operational efficiency to ensure the safe and successful delivery of well projects.

About this role

  • Act as the local Wells Risk Management focal point, ensuring a consistent and standardised approach to well activity risk management.
  • Serve as the local Standards and WellSafe focal point, managing internal assessments, compliance tracking, and coordination meetings.
  • Collaborate with well engineering teams to review and optimise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Partner with WellView data analysts, business partners, and technical teams to deliver performance improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with international technical service teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct occasional field visits to interface with operational teams.

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
  • Considerable experience supporting oil & gas well engineering and operations.
  • Strong understanding of well design, engineering workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Experience in well activity performance management is advantageous.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
