The job purpose is to lead and support welfare and Safety Communication programs across all Major Projects and Projects scope.
This includes fostering a positive safety culture, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards.
The role also involves effective communication and promoting worker well-being and competency.
About this role
Develop and Support Implementation of Worker Welfare Management System: Developing technical standards and procedures for welfare programs.
Execute overall welfare initiatives to maintain standards set by the Head of Welfare, ensuring consistency across project sites.
Act as Liaison for Project Level Welfare Matters: Serve as the first point of contact for Project -based welfare concerns, escalating significant issues to the Head of Welfare and ensuring timely resolution.
Coordinate Field Engagements and Welfare Audits: Organize and facilitate regular Project visits, camp inspections, and welfare audits in alignment with the Welfare Committee action plan.
Track Welfare Overall KPIs and Prepare Reports: Collect, consolidate, and report on worker welfare performance data and trends, supporting continuous improvement and strategic oversight. Develop and implement Welfare Management system framework, including Processes creation, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring.
Support Welfare Committee Operations: Assist in the preparation, scheduling, documentation, and follow-up of Welfare Committee and Safety & People Council meetings.
Assist with Welfare Communication Materials: Support development and distribution of communication content for welfare awareness campaigns under the guidance of the Head of Welfare.
Support Execution of Welfare Events: Provide logistical and coordination support for welfare events, campaigns, and summits at the site and project level.
Monitor Camp Welfare Standards: coordinate or Conduct routine checks and engage with Project welfare leaders to ensure accommodation, catering, medical, and recreation standards are consistently met.
Facilitate Feedback Channels for Workforce Well-being: Enable and monitor feedback mechanisms (e.g., surveys, suggestion boxes, toolbox talks) to gather overall worker input on welfare conditions.
Coordinate with Contractors on Welfare Compliance: Work with contractor HSE/welfare personnel to ensure alignment with corporate and project-specific welfare expectations.
Is this you?
Bachelors degree in sciences, safety, health, environment, security, or engineering, or
NEBOSH National/International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, SHES related NVQ level 5, or British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health
8 years experience in SHES (Worker Welfare) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
Knowledge of relevant SHES (Workers Welfare) management systems and programs.
