About this role
As a Trainer Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting face to face training and verification of competency activities within the resources, construction or energy sector. You will ensure that all training and assessment is conducted in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will also be required to maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on training and assessment outcomes.
Deliver practical and theoretical training for mobile plant equipment, including:
- Haul Trucks
- Loaders
- Excavators
- Dozers
- Graders
You will:
- Conduct on-the-job assessments and verification of competency (VOC).
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with site and company systems.
- Support new and existing operators with skill development and refresher training.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site procedures and safe work practices.
- Liaise with supervisors and production teams to identify training needs and schedule sessions effectively.
Is this you?
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
- Proven experience training and assessing across a range of mobile plant in a mining environment.
- Current competencies/tickets for haul trucks, loaders, excavators, dozers, and graders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse workgroups.
- Sound knowledge of mine site safety systems and reporting procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable

Experience with SAP or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Exposure to both production and ancillary mining equipment.
- Previous experience in training within iron ore or gold operations.
