We're partnering with a Tier 1 mining client to recuit a well seasoned Structrual Engineer to join the team. This role plays a key part in maintaining the structural integrity of critical assets and infrastructure through inspections, assessments, and engineering input. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and be involved in both reactive and preventative structural work.

About this role

We're currently seeking a Structrual Engineer to join the engineering delivery team of a Tier 1 mining client, working on major infrastructure and energy-related studies across Western Australia. This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled Structural Engineer who thrives in dynamic, site-based environments with complex, multidisciplinary challenges.

You'll report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate closely with engineers, drafters, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of structrual works.

This role would suit a driven and experienced professional with a background in mining infrastructure, who enjoys contributing to large-scale project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural inspections and integrity assessments of fixed plant and site infrastructure
  • Provide technical input into repair strategies, maintenance planning, and engineering solutions
  • Prepare reports, drawings, scopes of work, and engineering documentation for site execution
  • Work with maintenance and projects teams to address structural issues promptly
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards and site safety requirements
  • Support project upgrades and shutdown scopes with structural expertise

Is this you?

  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Experience in mining or heavy industry (fixed plant preferred)
  • Site-based mining experience highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of structural design principles, inspections, and reporting
  • Familiarity with Australian standards and mining-specific compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to adapt quickly and manage competing priorities on site
