Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy - a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently recruiting a Site Health & Safety Adviser leading safety on a major Energy Project located in East Rockingham. This will be a 6 month contract to commence as soon as possible, perfect for candidates residing south of the river!

About this role

You will be responsible for providing safety leadership and coaching to Woodside and Contractor personnel through the commissioning, start-up and early Operations of the Kwinana H2Refueller Facility.

  • Actively support safe execution of site works through visible Health & Safety presence and engagement with the workforce
  • Support identification, assessment and control of Health & Safety risks associated with construction and site activities, review and verify JHAs, SWMS and permits for compliance with project and legislative requirements
  • Conduct site inspections, workplace observations and assurance activities
  • Support incident reporting, investigation and follow‑up. Track and verify close‑out of corrective actions
  • Work closely with supervisors, contractors and subcontractors to align safety expectations, provide coaching and guidance to all personnel, escalate systemic issues or repeated non‑conformances to site leadership
  • Support implementation of the Site H&S Management System, maintain accurate safety records and reporting in project systems, contribute to daily, weekly and monthly H&S reporting
  • Support emergency response readiness at site, including drills and inspections, assist with first response coordination if required

Is this you?

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety / Diploma is desirable
  • Relevant construction / site‑based Health & Safety experience
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and construction risk controls
  • Experience working within Contracting environments
