About this role

This Brisbane-based position delivers essential mechanical and integrity engineering support across gas processing, water treatment, and wellsite facilities. Focused on short-term operational priorities, the role plays a critical part in minimising downtime, enhancing asset reliability, and maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. Duties include:

  • Deliver practical, timely mechanical and integrity solutions across upstream surface facilities
  • Conduct inspections, fitness-for-service assessments, and root cause analyses
  • Resolve operational issues and implement strategies that improve performance and reduce downtime
  • Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Support HSE reviews, asset risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Represent Operations Engineering in design and project reviews
  • Collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Integrity teams

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials or related engineering discipline
  • Considerable experience in mechanical or integrity engineering, ideally in energy or infrastructure
  • RPEQ registration (or eligible)
  • Proficiency in pressure systems, piping, welding, NDT techniques, and integrity standards
  • Experience in equipment failure investigation, inspection management, and plant reliability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable

  • Prior experience in upstream gas or CSG
  • Familiarity with SCADA, CMMS, and condition monitoring tools
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers
