About this role

This Brisbane-based position delivers essential mechanical and integrity engineering support across gas processing, water treatment, and wellsite facilities. Focused on short-term operational priorities, the role plays a critical part in minimising downtime, enhancing asset reliability, and maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. Duties include:

Deliver practical, timely mechanical and integrity solutions across upstream surface facilities
Conduct inspections, fitness-for-service assessments, and root cause analyses
Resolve operational issues and implement strategies that improve performance and reduce downtime
Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior engineers
Support HSE reviews, asset risk assessments, and incident investigations
Represent Operations Engineering in design and project reviews
Collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Integrity teams

Essential

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials or related engineering discipline
Considerable experience in mechanical or integrity engineering, ideally in energy or infrastructure
RPEQ registration (or eligible)
Proficiency in pressure systems, piping, welding, NDT techniques, and integrity standards
Experience in equipment failure investigation, inspection management, and plant reliability
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable

Prior experience in upstream gas or CSG
Familiarity with SCADA, CMMS, and condition monitoring tools
Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers
