About this role

Brunel is recruiting Project Engineers to work in Williston, ND for initially 1 year contract.
Main Functions
  • Perform engineering design evaluations and support project completion within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Review industry policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze reports related to production, malfunction, and maintenance to identify or resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical support throughout the engineering process.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines under immediate supervision.
  • Serve as backup for the Project Manager as required.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluations, and contractor selection.
  • Support identification and sourcing of long-lead equipment, ensuring coordination with FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) contractors.
  • Coordinate development of company's Capital Project Management System, Gate 3 deliverables.
  • Oversee the creation of Functional Interaction Plans.
  • Manage project issue resolution processes and change requests, endorsing change authorizations.
  • Ensure assigned work scopes are completed in line with overall project objectives.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams and functional departments to verify that designs and construction meet project specifications and standards.
  • Act as the main interface between the Project Team and Contractors.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions between project stages.
  • Lead the Project Management Team (PMT) in the application of Project Management Systems

Is this you?

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience across engineering, construction, project management, and project controls activities.
  • Multi-disciplinary skill set with exposure to various functional and project assignments.
  • Strong understanding of design standards, specifications, and work processes.
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and planning abilities.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle heavy workloads, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
