Head of Project Delivery

We are seeking an experienced Project Delivery Lead to ensure the national delivery of complex commercial and industrial energy projects across Australia, including solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), EV charging and distributed energy solutions.

This is a senior leadership role with accountability for the safe, timely and commercially successful delivery of a growing national project portfolio. A core mandate of the role is to establish, embed and enforce a clear, fit-for-purpose project management framework that underpins consistent delivery performance as the business continues to scale.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Commercial Energy leadership team, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery function post-contract award. Beyond day-to-day delivery, this role is about lifting organisational maturity - creating a single, universally adopted way of managing projects that all Project Managers and Project Coordinators operate within.

You will design and implement standardised project management principles, governance, tools and disciplines, ensuring every project is planned, controlled and reported in a consistent and commercially robust manner. This will enable predictable outcomes, improved forecasting, stronger margin control and scalable growth across the national portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the national project delivery pipeline, ensuring predictable outcomes across safety, quality, schedule and cost
• Design, implement and embed a clear, standardised project management framework, including lifecycle stages, controls, documentation and reporting
• Establish and enforce consistent project disciplines across planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, change control and close-out
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Project Delivery team, ensuring all PMs and PCs operate to a common standard and capability baseline
• Drive strong commercial outcomes through margin protection, cost-to-complete accuracy, variation management and revenue recognition discipline
• Establish robust delivery governance, risk management frameworks, reporting cadence and stage-gate approvals
• Standardise delivery tools, templates and systems to improve execution consistency, transparency and scalability
• Manage a national subcontractor delivery model, ensuring clear performance expectations, accountability and compliance with delivery standards
• Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Estimation, Finance and Commercial teams to ensure disciplined handovers and aligned delivery expectations
• Champion a customer-focused delivery experience, supported by structured feedback loops and continuous improvement
• Lead a strong safety culture across employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with all HSE obligations

About You

• Proven senior leadership experience in project delivery within a construction, EPC or infrastructure-style environment
• Demonstrated ability to uplift project management maturity, including establishing standards, governance and ways of working across teams
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with disciplined approaches to forecasting, cost control and margin management
• Experience delivering complex infrastructure, energy or renewable projects at scale
• Track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and driving consistent execution through clear frameworks and accountability
• Confident communicator, comfortable setting expectations, managing senior stakeholders and owning delivery escalations
