Introduction

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our client, a tier one mining business with operations across the WA Pilbara region.

As the Mobile Plant Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for managing and scheduling weekly/minor maintenance for our client's minesite based mobile plant equipment.

About this role

As the Mobile Plant Maintenance Planner, you will report directly to the Planning Supervisor and work closely with the site-based maintenance teams. You will be responsible for the effective development, management, and scheduling of weekly/minor shutdown maintenance. You will manage multiple generation and transmission assets across the WA Pilbara operations. Further duties include:

  • Develop and maintain short and long-term maintenance schedules for mobile plant equipment
  • Create and manage work orders using SAP or similar CMMS
  • Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance activities to minimise downtime
  • Liaise with maintenance supervisors, technicians, and operations teams to ensure schedule alignment
  • Monitor equipment performance and adjust plans based on condition monitoring data
  • Ensure availability of parts, tools, and labour for scheduled tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, work completion, and compliance
  • Prioritise tasks based on criticality, safety, and production impact
  • Support shutdown planning and execution for major overhauls
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance planning and execution

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent level of experience in a related field.
  • Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Experience in mobile plant maintenance or a similar industry.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems such as SAP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
