Lead HVAC Engineer (Offshore Platforms | Detailed Engineering)

About the Project

Our Client is leading international engineering company is executing Detailed Engineering for offshore platforms. This role will manage HVAC discipline delivery and coordinate with a major EPC partner for a high-profile offshore energy project.

Role OverviewOwn HVAC discipline leadership for offshore (marine) environments—define the basis of design, steer calculations and digital modelling, and ensure Shell DEP compliance and platform integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC basis of design for offshore modules/buildings: loads, equipment sizing, ducting, controls.
• Drive modelling/analysis using Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE, Cadmatic; run CFD (e.g., Ansys Fluent, Siemens STAR-CCM+); ensure BIM-compatible integration (e.g., LATS Revit).
• Enforce Shell DEP compliance; review vendor data and coordinate model/layout integration.
• Coordinate with global EPC partners; steward design reviews and decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years HVAC detailed engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Shell DEP standards.
• Marine engineering background/exposure.
• Proficiency with 3DEXPERIENCE, Cadmatic, CFD tools (e.g., Ansys Fluent, STAR-CCM+) and BIM-compatible software (e.g., LATS Revit).
• Prior Middle East project experience.
