About this role

We're seeking a skilled and motivated Environment Geospatial Analyst to support our mining and decarbonisation approvals through advanced spatial data analysis, mapping, and geospatial modelling.

As an Environment Geospatial Analyst, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality spatial data and insights to support environmental approvals. You'll work closely with internal teams and government stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant data is available for decision-making and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare spatial data for approval boundaries and disturbance footprints.
  • Generate maps and figures showing project infrastructure, environmental baselines, and sensitive areas.
  • Calculate disturbance metrics and compile data for approval submissions.
  • Conduct geospatial modelling and statistical analysis to support impact assessments.
  • Manage and QA/QC environmental datasets and support data uploads to internal systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and respond to data requests from government departments.

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in geospatial analysis, ideally in the energy/resources
  • Strong GIS software and spatial database skills.
  • Experience with environmental and government datasets.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Tertiary qualification in Geospatial Science, GIS, or a related field.
