Introduction

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering data center construction and infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires coordination across multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with data center design standards and client expectations.

About this role

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for all phases of the data center project-from design to commissioning.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Prepare and manage the project budget. Monitor costs and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction and installation work complies with industry standards, client requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and issues.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and handover documents.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards at the job site.

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum 5-10 years of project management experience, preferably in data center or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, BMS (Building Management Systems), UPS, and cooling technologies used in data centers.
  • Familiarity with Tier standards (Uptime Institute), TIA-942, or similar data center design guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
