Introduction

On behalf of our client, a World Leading Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing an Engagement Coordinator to support Traditional Owner consultation, cultural heritage engagement, and environmental approvals activities across their operations. This will be a 2 year contract working a Compressed Working Week.

About this role

The Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating consultation activities, recording engagement outcomes, and assisting in the delivery of cultural heritage survey programs.

This includes managing logistics for Traditional Owner travel to site, maintaining consultation records and documentation for environmental plan submissions, supporting stakeholder meetings, and communicating with both internal teams and Traditional Owner groups in a respectful and culturally aware manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities and support Traditional Owner meetings and visits
  • Maintain consultation records, transcripts, reports, and contact information in internal systems
  • Manage consultation inbox and ensure timely responses to community and Traditional Owner inquiries
  • Support the planning and delivery of cultural heritage surveys, including logistics and travel arrangements
  • Liaise with internal teams such as HSE, Supply Chain, Projects and Operations
  • Support the preparation of submissions for environmental approvals
  • Build trusted relationships with Traditional Owner groups and representative organisations

Is this you?

  • Previous experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, Indigenous affairs, cultural heritage, or project coordination
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reporting, and documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate logistics in a fast-paced environment
  • Culturally aware, respectful, and confident engaging with Traditional Owner groups
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to site/regional communities
