Introduction

Join a leading mining company's in-house design team delivering iron ore projects across WA. As a Senior Civil Designer, you'll create 3D designs for haul roads, earthworks and mine infrastructure using 12d and MicroStation. Work across study to execution and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, buildable solutions.

About this role

Responsible for delivering 3D civil designs for iron ore mine infrastructure, including haul roads, drainage and bulk earthworks.

  • Develop 3D civil designs and models for haul roads, access roads, earthworks and drainage
  • Produce detailed drawing packages (GA's, Plan & Profiles, drainage and pavement)
  • Support design of mine site infrastructure including ROM pads and access networks
  • Integrate survey, LiDAR and geospatial data into design models
  • Maintain drawing registers and documentation in line with project standards
  • Collaborate with engineers to deliver cohesive design solutions
  • Participate in design reviews and project meetings
  • Ensure designs meet relevant standards
  • Deliver work within project schedules and budgets

Is this you?

  • Proven experience delivering iron ore or bulk mining infrastructure projects
  • Strong technical capability in haul road design, bulk earthworks, drainage and NPI
  • Advanced proficiency in 12d Model and Bentley MicroStation, with strong 3D modelling capability
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, construction-ready design documentation
  • Experience working across full project lifecycles (study, prefeasibility, feasibility and execution)
  • Solid understanding of Australian standards and mining design requirements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to identify design challenges and proactively develop practical solutions
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage priorities and meet project deadlines
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving project environment
  • Positive team player with a collaborative and solutions-focused mindset
