Introduction

Join our client's team as a Laboratory Analyst supporting LNG operations through the sampling and analysis of gas, condensate and process fluids. Working in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, you'll deliver accurate data to support plant performance, safety and compliance. This hands-on role involves advanced instrumentation, LIMS reporting, and close collaboration with operations and maintenance teams.

About this role

This role is responsible for the sampling and analysis of LNG, gas, condensate, water and process fluids to support plant operations, compliance and cargo certification. Working across both the laboratory and plant, you will deliver accurate, high-quality data within an ISO 17025 environment, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations.

  • Conduct routine and non-routine sampling of gas, condensate, water, chemicals and process streams in accordance with SOPs, permits and safety requirements
  • Perform laboratory analysis using a range of analytical instrumentation, ensuring accurate, timely reporting and data integrity through LIMS
  • Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory and portable field-based analytical equipment
  • Support validation and verification of online analysers through independent testing and collaboration with plant teams
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to meet routine and non-routine sampling requirements
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards, laboratory quality systems and regulatory obligations
  • Support cargo sampling, analysis and certification processes for LNG and condensate exports, including reporting for Bills of Lading
  • Contribute to start-up, commissioning and continuous improvement initiatives across plant and laboratory operations
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, chemical management and stock control within the laboratory
  • Follow all HES requirements, including JHAs, permit to work systems and correct use of PPE
  • Assist with method development, procedure updates and training of team members where required

Is this you?

  • Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related science discipline
  • Proven experience in laboratory analysis within oil & gas, LNG or process plant operations
  • Experience analysing gas, condensate, water or process fluid samples
  • Strong understanding of ISO 17025 laboratory standards and quality systems
  • Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and laboratory equipment
  • Experience using LIMS for data entry, reporting and sample tracking
  • Knowledge of plant sampling techniques and working in operational environments
  • Strong understanding of HES systems, permits and high-risk work practices
  • Ability to calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
