About this role

Brunel is partnering with this leading contractor to recruit a proactive and experienced Safety Advisor. This role focuses on projects in Northern NSW and the Southern Gold Coast, providing an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks

  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, emergency response procedures, and hazard analyses

  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and toolbox talks to promote safe work practices

  • Investigate incidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety legislation and company policies

  • Provide guidance and training to staff and subcontractors on safety protocols and best practices

Is this you?

  • Strong background in construction safety.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and industry standards

  • Experience in developing and implementing safety management systems and procedures

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels

  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent; additional safety management qualifications highly regarded
