Brunel have partnered with a leading Australian construction and project delivery company that specialises in delivering complex commercial and industrial projects across Queensland.

They're now seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join their team and drive a proactive, people-first safety culture across their major projects.

About this role

As the Safety Advisor, you'll support the project and site teams to ensure compliance with WHS legislation, client requirements, and internal management systems. You'll work closely with construction leaders to promote continuous improvement in safety performance and ensure every worker goes home safely.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining project-specific safety management plans
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Leading incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Delivering toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training
  • Liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to maintain safe systems of work
  • Reporting on key safety metrics and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Is this you?

  • Minimum Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (Diploma highly regarded)
  • Construction industry experience (commercial, industrial or infrastructure building projects)
  • Proven ability to engage with site teams and build strong safety culture
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and construction compliance standards
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
