Introduction

On behalf of our client, an Australian civil and construction contractor, Brunel is presently sourcing a Human Resources Advisor (FIFO 7:7 roster) to join the Barrow Island Team, working directly with the Operational Leaders and crews on-site supporting Civil & Electrical projects. This role will be initially on a contract basis with a possible view to permanency.

About this role

  • Acting as the first point of contact for HR and ER matters on-site
  • Develop, implement and review HR processes, procedures, to support the organisation
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and training to Managers and Supervisors on performance, behaviour, engagement and HR practices
  • Providing guidance on policies, processes and entitlements
  • Supporting workforce planning and retention initiatives
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with the Operational Employees and Management Teams, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals
  • Managing workplace people issues including grievances, performance improvement, conduct and other investigations, disciplinary matters as required

Is this you?

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources / Employee Relations OR equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a HR Advisory / HR Generalist role
  • Strong understanding of contemporary HR practice and Fair Work / Industrial Relations frameworks
  • Confident supporting leaders and resolving people matters
