Our client is a major player in Australia's energy infrastructure sector, helping to secure the nation's energy future. They have a fixed‑term opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their HSE team in Perth.

Build strong relationships with frontline leaders and have practical, real‑world expertise in risk, assurance, and HSE improvement. 12 month Fixed‑term contract

About this role

  • Helping line leaders become more confident and capable when it comes to executing work safely.
  • Supporting the rollout and continuous improvement of HSW programs, risk assessments, incident reporting, investigations, and safety data accuracy.
  • Managing injury‑related processes - from medical treatment and workers' compensation through to return‑to‑work plans.
  • Running drug and alcohol testing, occupational hygiene monitoring, and making sure medical and health surveillance requirements are met.
  • Analysing safety data to spot trends and identify where improvements are needed.
  • Taking part in H&S committees, leadership meetings, and conversations with regulators and unions.

Is this you?

  • Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety, Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Health, or a related field - or equivalent hands‑on experience.
  • A track record of supporting HSW processes and delivering improvement initiatives in medium‑to‑large organisations.
  • The ability to coach and support line leaders to genuinely improve Health & Safety performance.
  • A background in engineering, mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry - this is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Strong skills in audits, risk assessments, incident reporting, investigations, and assurance activities.
  • Great communication and relationship‑building abilities, with a proactive, practical, and solutions‑focused mindset when it comes to safety.
