Introduction

Brunel is partnering with a Tier One mining business to support the construction of a major greenfield processing plant in the South West. We are seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator (Civil) to oversee critical bulk earthworks, road construction, and large-scale concrete operations for this landmark project.

About this role

This 18-month civil construction program involves significant bulk earthworks, the placement of over 5,000m³ of concrete, construction of deep foundations, footings, pedestals, and complex suspended slab structures within a new process plant.

Supervise and coordinate multiple civil contractors across a complex construction program
Act as the key interface between Contractors, Engineering Service Providers (ESP), and internal project teams
Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
Oversee QA/QC procedures, including ITP/ITR implementation and validation
Lead hazard and risk assessments and ensure safety compliance is maintained across site
Ensure all works are delivered in line with scope, technical specifications, project schedule and budget
Monitor and report on contractor progress, resolve on-site issues, and manage scope changes
Coordinate permits, approvals, and access with relevant stakeholders including operational and maintenance teams

Is this you?

10+ years' experience in construction or heavy industry, with 5+ years in a civil EPCM or client-side role
Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities
In-depth knowledge of bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, and concrete operations
Excellent understanding of QA/QC processes, safety legislation, and site compliance
Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and contractor deliverables
Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills
Due to the remote location of this role candidates SOR will have a distinct advantage
You must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role

Qualifications

Trade qualification or relevant technical background in Civil or Bulk Earthworks
Certificate IV in Frontline Management (preferred)
Completion of BSBWHS414 & BSBWHS411 (preferred)
