Introduction

We are partnering with a tier-one mining business to source a talented Communications Advisor to lead internal communications and employee engagement for a major greenfield development in WA.

About this role

As Communications Advisor, you'll play a critical role in delivering timely, impactful, and engaging internal communications that connect people with purpose. You'll be the voice behind the project-driving clarity, motivation, and alignment across all levels of the organisation throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties:

  • Lead internal communications strategy and execution for the project
  • Develop compelling content for multi-channel communication platforms including newsletters, internal social channels, project updates, town halls, and executive communications
  • Partner with project leadership to ensure aligned messaging and smooth information flow
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives such as storytelling, recognition programs, and interactive communications
  • Support key project milestone communications, change initiatives, and leadership toolkits
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset to enhance communication processes and tools

Is this you?

  • Proven experience in internal communications, ideally within major projects, mining, resources, or infrastructure
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a flair for storytelling
  • Ability to distil complex technical information into simple, engaging content
  • Experienced with digital engagement tools (e.g., Viva Engage, MS Teams, intranet platforms)
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Strategic, curious, and people-focused - with a natural passion for building culture and connection
  • Experience with crisis communications or large-scale change initiatives will be highly regarded.
  • You must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role
