Introduction

Do you want to shape and improve the HIL testing architecture of complex embedded systems? As a HIL Test Engineer, you will develop and unify Python-based HIL frameworks that support multiple projects, making testing faster and easier. You translate team requirements into a scalable, high-quality simulation and hardware environment and become the go-to expert for all testing questions.

What are you going to do

As a HIL Test Engineer, you will take ownership of the testing architecture for complex embedded systems, improving and unifying Python-based HIL frameworks across multiple projects. You will ensure simulations and hardware work seamlessly together, providing a scalable and accessible environment for all teams. Your expertise will make you the central point of contact for all test-related matters and directly impact the quality of innovative systems.

What will you do?

  • Define and develop the HIL testing architecture, improving fragmented setups into a unified framework.
  • Translate requirements from multiple projects into scalable and maintainable test environments.
  • Develop and maintain Python-based frameworks, integrating hardware and simulation tools.
  • Support teams across departments as the go-to expert for HIL testing and embedded firmware.

Essential skills and knowledge 

You are proactive, solution-oriented, and thrive in a less structured, fast-moving environment. You enjoy taking ownership, collaborating across teams, and translating complex technical requirements into practical solutions. Additionally, you have:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in long-term projects.
  • Experience with multiple HIL setups
  • Experience with Python, CAN, UART, Ethernet, and embedded firmware.
  • Experience with Octave/MATLAB/Simulink and Git/CI tools is a plus.
  • Automotive or power electronics experience is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
