Introduction
Are you an experienced Workover Supervisor seeking an exciting opportunity within the oil and gas sector? Our client, a leader in oilfield operations, is looking for a seasoned professional to join their team on a temporary basis. Based in Hassi Berkine, Algeria, this position operates on a 28/28 rotation with a 12-month renewable contract, offering long-term prospects for the right candidate.
What are you going to do
- Act as the on-site representative, ensuring all work adheres to procedures, the Work Over Program, Algerian regulations, and HSE policies.
- Supervise and ensure the efficient and safe completion of drilling and completion operations, as stipulated in company policies and government regulations.
- Collaborate with the Drilling Superintendent, Completion Engineer, and other stakeholders to optimize operations.
- Inspect tools and equipment, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Document daily operations, emergency drills, and safety procedures while promoting a culture of teamwork and professionalism.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Extensive Industry Experience: Over 12 years in workover operations, including at least 5 years as Day Workover Supervisor for an operator.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Landmark software "OPEN WELLS" and valid IWCF well control level 4 (Supervisory Level).
- Multilingual: Strong English communication skills (written and spoken). Knowledge of French or Arabic is advantageous.
- Environment Experience: Ability to thrive in culturally diverse, remote, and challenging settings like desert environments.
