Introduction

Our client is a family-owned and operated business specialising in all aspects of pig production. They have been farming for close to 100 years, and employ over 100+ staff across multiple sites.

What are you going to do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily care and handling of pigs across all production stages (breeding, farrowing, weaning, and grow-out).

  • Monitor animal health and welfare, reporting any signs of illness or injury.

  • Assist with feeding, watering, and routine husbandry tasks.

  • Clean and maintain pens, equipment, and piggery facilities.

  • Assist with record-keeping of animal movements, treatments, and production data.

  • Operate machinery and equipment as required.

  • Follow all biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety protocols.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Experience working with livestock (pigs preferred, but not essential).

  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.

  • Willingness to work in a rural environment and follow strict hygiene procedures.

  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently when required.
