Introduction

Brunel DMCC is looking for Sr. Process Safety Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. We are a leading provider of Engineering and Technical services to the Oil and Gas Industry.

What are you going to do

  • Lead Process Safety in plant through: develop, monitor and report Process Safety Key Performance Indicators (PS KPI’s), proposals for improving Process Safety performance, support implementation of standards and recommendations from the industry ( API, EIGA etc.);
  • Execute and develop a periodic review of site Process Safety Management (PSM) program and support all concern department for Process Safety Information (PSI);
  • Participate in development of safeguarding philosophies, Cause and Effect diagrams, PHA/HAZOP reviews, LOPA analysis, SIL analysis;
  • Participates in Risk analysis, Consequence analysis and Frequency estimation. Participates in Dispersion analysis, Over pressure protection analysis;
  • Manage the site PSRA schedule and recommendation implementation plan;
  • Identifying weak barriers of process safety and rectify it. Conduct Process Safety Incident;
  • Investigations and follow-up action items. Periodic verification of the healthness of existing Process Safety barriers to identify gaps;
  • Conducting & participating in process hazard analysis for existing facility and modifications through MOC. Participates in Pre Start-up SHE Review (PSSR);
  • Participate as member in Alarm Management committee and MOC review committee to provide process safety input;
  • Contribute and provide technical support for investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA);
  • Initiatives and reliability methodologies (RIS, ACA). Follow up and close RCA, PHA and audit recommendations related to process safety;
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of Process Safety Performance in the site. Generate and communicate Process Safety Alerts/Bulletins. Update process safety information as pre CCPS and API requirements;
  • Contribute to Process Safety development of the company through training, guidance and mentoring of new engineers and Operation staff;
  • Provide necessary support to process and operations staff during shutdown, start-up, troubleshooting and critical or emergency situation.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Graduate Degree Holder - BS in Chemical Engineering;
  • Minimum 10 Years in Oil and Gas Industry.
