Introduction

Join a leading lithium operation as a Process Operator, supporting safe and efficient production across key processing and paste plant circuits. Working an 8/6, 7/7 FIFO roster, you'll play a hands-on role in optimising plant performance, maintaining production targets and contributing to a strong safety culture. This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term career potential.

What are you going to do

In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring processing plant circuits to ensure safe, stable and efficient production outcomes. Working as part of a collaborative operations team, you will actively monitor plant performance, adjust operating parameters, respond to process upsets and identify opportunities to improve recovery and throughput. Duties will include:

  • Operating Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, Filtration, Paste Plant and Control Room circuits
  • Monitoring plant performance and making adjustments to optimise production
  • Conducting routine inspections and identifying equipment faults or abnormalities
  • Troubleshooting operational issues and assisting in minimising downtime
  • Completing start-up, shutdown and isolation activities in line with site procedures
  • Participating in planned shutdowns and permit-controlled work
  • Maintaining accurate log sheets, reports and shift handovers
  • Reporting hazards, defects and improvement opportunities
  • Working closely with maintenance and technical teams to support plant reliability
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards across operational areas
  • Following all safety, environmental and operational procedures
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives focused on plant performance and operational excellence

Essential skills and knowledge 

To be successful, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience within a mineral processing environment, with exposure to flotation circuits and previous experience in lithium, gold, copper or similar operations. Paste plant experience will be highly regarded. You will demonstrate strong troubleshooting capability, a proactive approach to safety and the ability to work effectively within a team-driven production environment. Construction White Card, Skid Steer, Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets are essential, along with the ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen and police clearance.
