Introduction

We're seeking a highly experienced SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID) Designer to support a major FPSO project. This role is critical for developing and maintaining intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using SPPID software, ensuring precision, consistency, and seamless integration across disciplines in a fast-paced offshore engineering environment

What are you going to do

Key Responsibilities

P&ID Development & Management: Create and maintain intelligent P&ID drawings using SmartPlant P&ID software, aligned with FPSO project standards and specifications.
Data Integrity & Accuracy: Ensure all P&ID data is accurate and up-to-date, resolving discrepancies and maintaining a single source of truth.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with process, instrumentation, and piping teams to ensure integrated and accurate data representation across FPSO systems.
Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on drawings and data, identifying and correcting errors proactively.
Tool Integration: Support integration of SPPID with other SmartPlant tools, such as SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) and SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), tailored for FPSO applications.
Standardization & Documentation: Help develop and maintain FPSO-specific project templates, symbol libraries, and design specifications.
Mentorship & Technical Support: Provide guidance to junior designers, sharing best practices and technical expertise relevant to offshore projects.
Design Review Participation: Engage in design reviews, offering insights to improve design quality and project outcomes.
Project Execution Support: Assist with project-related tasks involving P&ID design and data management to meet FPSO project milestones and deliverables.

Essential skills and knowledge

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience working with SmartPlant P&ID software in oil & gas projects, preferably with FPSO exposure
Strong understanding of offshore engineering standards and FPSO system configurations
Proven experience integrating SmartPlant tools (SP3D, SPEL, etc.)
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field preferred
