Site Technician - Renewable Energy

Melbourne

We are seeking a qualified and safety-focused Site Technician to support the operation and maintenance of utility-scale renewable energy assets. This hands-on role will be responsible for maintaining plant performance, responding to faults, and ensuring the safe operation of critical electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, substations, inverters, BESS, generators, and UPS systems.
  • Monitor plant performance and respond to alarms and faults.
  • Support SCADA and communications systems.
  • Coordinate contractors and assist with site operations.
  • Complete maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted Electrical Licence and Trade Qualification.
  • Current White Card, Driver's Licence, First Aid/CPR, and LV Rescue.
  • Experience in renewable energy, power generation, industrial facilities, or electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • HV Switching and SCADA experience highly regarded.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
