CDL Shuttle Driver-Kennecott

Brunel is currently searching for several CDL Shuttle Bus Drivers for Full-Time and Part-Time positions at Rio Tinto Kennecott's Mine located Southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah in Herriman, UT. We are seeking experienced, safe and reliable drivers for our employee shuttle bus program. These positions require valid CDL with a Passenger Endorsement.

Shifts available:

  1. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday - (12noon-8pm)
  2. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - (2am-10am )
  3. Friday, Saturday, Sunday - (12noon-8pm)

Job Description:

As a Kennecott Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible to safely and promptly transfer passengers to and from specific locations within the mine on a 36-passenger bus. The mine operates 365 days per year. The driver will need commit to the schedule below.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Current CDL B or CDL A with Passenger endorsement
  • Clean driving record (no more than one violation in the past 3 years)
  • Ability to pass a DOT medical exam and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must pass a background check
  • Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience required (i.e. taxi, bus, shuttle, commercial truck, box van, etc.)
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English with the ability to follow precise instructions
  • Must possess exceptionally safe driving habits
  • Willingness to adapt to an ever-changing environment
  • Desire to work with a team to achieve one goal

What we offer

Offer:

  • $21.00 per hour (+ depending on experience), plus shift premium for morning shift.
  • Full-time employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in our group benefit programs including Medical, Dental and Vision, which start on your first day of employment.
  • Additional benefits include paid time off, 401K match and more.
  • PAID training - Must complete a 3-day MSHA training prior to start date.
  • Opportunities for advancement and/or full-time status could be available in the future.
