We are looking for seasoned onshore-based Senior Project Surveyors to join our collaborative team managing projects in a number of regions. Join a supportive team focused on delivering top-quality subsea positioning, measurement, and mapping solutions. With extensive global presence, you'll engage in complex and interesting offshore energy projects, utilising our fleet of pipelay and construction vessels.
What will you be doing?
The role will work as part of an integrated project team to review client requirements, develop associated methodologies, procedures and budgets. Duties are as follows:1. Provide technical and operational input throughout the SURF project lifecycle, from tender development to execution and close-out.
2. Liaise with internal teams, clients, and third-party providers to identify personnel, equipment, and project needs, ensuring timely delivery to worksites.3. Develop and review project-specific survey procedures, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
4. Attend and lead project briefings and debriefings with survey personnel and stakeholders to ensure clarity of scope and expectations.5. Manage survey deliverables, oversee third-party service providers, and ensure quality and timeliness of outputs within budget constraints.
6. Ensureend-of-trip reports are completed promptly, with lessons learneddocumented and communicated for continuous improvement.7. Identify and implement opportunities to enhance survey processes, workflows, and technologies to improve efficiency and data quality.
8. Mentor and support junior surveyors, providing technical guidance and training.
What experience would we like you to have?1. Bachelor's degree or above in Surveying, Geomatics, Hydrography, Geophysics, or a relatedscience discipline.
2. Membership in a professional survey association is beneficial.3. Demonstrable role relevant experience in a similar position, with a background in offshore survey operations.
4. Demonstrated experience in subsea construction operations, with a comprehensive understanding of current techniques and technologies in ROV-based positioning, measurement, and mapping.5. Proficient in project planning and execution, demonstrating the ability to oversee workloads efficiently while upholding safety and quality standards.
6. Effective communication and collaboration abilities, both written and verbal, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset.7. Proficiency in subsea survey software.
