Leads several IT projects with a delineated scope of work executed within a finite timeframe in a medium to high complexity context.
Has accountability for related projects over scope definition, execution plan, cost, schedule, design, build, and contractual deliverables.
Ensure project delivery on-time, within scope, within budget, and proper quality.
Adheres to, and enhances, the PMO’s Project Management Framework for management projects from initiation to closure.
Works closely with the Programs team and the PMO to execute the supporting PMO activities and ensure the projects within the portfolio are up to date.
What are you going to do
Work along with the Lead of DBS Programs to develop and implement the ongoing DBS Strategy for managing and delivering projects and programs in DBS.
Ensure that effective project and program management approaches are embedded within DBS Delivery.
Help develop effective engagement with business leading to successful active management of requirements, current demand and applying industry best practices to project management.
Build and develop a positive reputation for the DBS Programs by acting as an ambassador when dealing with other colleagues, customers, and external partners.
Carries out detailed requirements analysis and sizing of project team; ensure resource availability and allocation.
Developing project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress throughout the life of the project.
Use appropriate verification techniques and integrated change management to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs and ensure all changes are accounted for, reviewed, approved, and communicated with the rest of the team.
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders; report and escalate to management as needed.
Perform risk and issue management to minimize and mitigate projects risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties and vendors.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred
8+ years experience in IT and at least 3 years in a project leadership role
5 years experience as part of an Oil & Gas organization
Strong project management skills
Strong understanding of the core processes of an Oil & Gas company
Strong relationship and negotiation capability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong English proficiency both spoken and written
