Introduction

  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of infrastructure projects in accordance with Methodology and applicable Procedures, Regulations and Standards in coordination with VP Directorate.

What are you going to do 

  • Act as POD focal point for VI capital projects, Plan and coordinate the implementation of infrastructure projects from initiation of the Project (PIN) to final handing over facilitating the Project Commissioning and Handover to the Asset Holder and Operation Department in line with requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate with all stakeholders & Developers, perform site visits for Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning Handover Certificates, project dossier as per Commissioning & Handover Procedure.
  • Proactively communicate and follow-up with all relevant Stakeholders to identify and confirm project requirements derived from the Project Objectives stipulated in the PDP, followed by preparation of Decision Support Package (DSP) and associated drawings, documents in coordination with all stakeholders and uploading documents in ECM system.
  • Participate in the review of the Scope of Work (SOW), Conceptual Drawings, Project Schedule, Bill of Quantities, and Project Specifications prepared by VP Directorate for Capital Infrastructure projects.
  • Represent the asset holder in kick-off, pre-construction, progress, and coordination meetings with all parties involved in the project to ensure any issues / deficiencies of project requirements are resolved.
  • Coordinate with the technical team for site visits by bidders during tender phase and the Technical Evaluation of the Bids and consolidate the comments to ensure requirements are suitably addressed.
  • Manage all technical transmittals on PrDMS software for Capital projects on behalf of asset holders & end-users and ensure timely response / closure of all transmittals in line with approved KPI.
  • Plan and coordinate with all concerned parties to perform site visits for Punch Listing the Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities, ensure clearance of all snags to the satisfaction of the Asset Holder and the Operator and Maintainer of the completed facilities, and accordingly prepare and issue the Mechanical Completion as well coordinate with commissioning team all Commissioning activities and Handover Certificates as part of Commissioning & Handover Procedure.
  • Ensure the delivery of all project deliverables and confirm its correctness including Project Dossiers, As-built drawings, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, and SAP deliverables and finally prepare and issue Project Close out report.
  • Coordinate with operation team resolution of defects during guarantee period in line with contract provisions.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 10 years broad experience in design and project engineering of infrastructure type of which a minimum 4 years in a discipline engineer capacity covering design, construction, and commissioning of infrastructure projects preferably in the Middle East.
  • High experience in project lifecycle, project management and supervisory skills.
  • Exposure to international experience and an appreciation of cultural sensitivities.
