Introduction

  • The Sr. Interface Engineer - External is responsible for managing and coordinating all external interfaces between the Project and third-party stakeholders, EPCC Contractor, and authorities under the guidance of the Interface Manager.

What are you going to do

  • The role centers on ensuring strict compliance with COMPANY's Integrated Management Systems covering quality, environment, occupational health and safety, responsible care, energy management, and product stewardship.
  • The incumbent must actively implement and prioritize HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) requirements in all project activities, maintain adherence to specific HSE and quality policies, and follow up on accidents and related procedures.
  • Key responsibilities include managing external interfaces by coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and authorities, leading meetings, and ensuring work aligns with project manuals and contractual requirements.
  • The role involves monitoring contractor compliance, reviewing tie-in plans, and facilitating approvals.
  • Collaboration with engineering teams to define and validate external interface points is crucial, as is managing documentation and regulatory coordination with entities such as MIC, Port Authorities, and government ministries to secure permits and fulfill documentation protocols.
  • The position requires overseeing schedule and risk management for interface activities, reporting delays, and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring quality standards, technical compliance, and readiness for commissioning is fundamental.
  • Additional duties include supporting the Interface Manager with reporting, documenting stakeholder communications, managing delivery of spares and tools, and maintaining a comprehensive external interface register to monitor progress and support decision-making.
  • Documentation of lessons learned and proactive risk management in line with the Project Information Manual are also required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 10 years' relevant work experience, with at least 3-5 years in major projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree (12+4 years)
  • Professional Certification
