Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor for a well-established and highly regarded builder on the Sunshine Coast. This role will support a growing pipeline of premium multi-residential projects across the Sunshine Coast.

Our client delivers high-quality apartment developments and operates with an integrated model, maintaining strong control across project delivery. With multiple projects underway and further stages commencing, this is an opportunity to join a stable, expanding business with long-term prospects.

What are you going to do

Reporting to senior construction leadership, you will play a key role in driving safety performance across live construction sites. This position requires a hands-on safety professional who can influence site teams, maintain compliance, and continuously improve safety systems.

  • Lead and implement site-based WHS systems in line with legislative and company requirements
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments and toolbox talks
  • Support project teams in developing and reviewing SWMS and high-risk activity controls
  • Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide coaching and practical safety guidance to site supervisors and subcontractors
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the project team

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum requirement)
  • Proven experience in a Safety Advisor role within multi residential or commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge of QLD WHS legislation and construction compliance standards
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence site teams
  • Practical, solutions-focused and highly organised
