Introduction

  • Responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining robotic systems used for cleaning, inspection, and predictive maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and associated infrastructure, ensuring optimal energy output and system reliability.

What are you going to do

  • Robotic Operation & Monitoring
    • Operate and remotely monitor robotic cleaning systems deployed across solar arrays.
    • Ensure robots follow programmed paths and complete cleaning cycles efficiently.
    • Adjust robot settings based on environmental conditions (dust levels, wind, temperature).
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting
    • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on robotic systems.
    • Diagnose and resolve operational issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software faults.
    • Assist in deployment and calibration of robots at new or existing solar sites.
  • Data Logging & Reporting
    • Record operational parameters, cleaning performance, and maintenance actions.
    • Report anomalies such as hot spots, panel defects, or robot malfunctions to engineering teams.
    • Maintain compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Integration & Optimization
    • Collaborate with SCADA and predictive maintenance systems for real-time data exchange.
    • Support AI-driven predictive maintenance protocols to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Diploma or technical certification in Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in robotic operations or solar plant maintenance.
  • Familiarity with PV systems, SCADA integration, and robotic cleaning technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical aptitude in robotics and automation.
  • Ability to work independently and in remote outdoor environments.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to HSE compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in varied outdoor conditions (heat, dust, wind).
  • Willingness to travel to multiple solar sites and work flexible shifts.
