What are you going to do
We are partnering with our client, a respected organization in the oil and gas sector, to appoint a Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis. This is a key role within our client's team, managing all commercial aspects of major energy projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, profitably, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Quantity Surveyor at Brunel International, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of oil and gas projects from inception through completion.
- Your duties will include cost estimation, contract administration, risk assessment, and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
- You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide accurate cost control and contribute to successful project delivery in the energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of cost management, contract law, and procurement processes related to oil and gas projects.
- Ability to prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the oil and gas industry.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software tools for cost control and project management.
- Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
