Responsible for implementing the project quality management program and ensuring the effective implementation of Contractor's quality management system, during fabrication of compression topsides for Comp4 Project at Fabrication Yard.
The Quality Lead is responsible to supervise the quality activities during execution with the objective to meet the overall project objectives.

Analyze data effectively and decide on which information is relevant to Project
Communication and influencing of various organizations acting globally in a multi-cultural environment, while based at Sohar Fabrication Yard (Oman).
Manages the resolution of problems in more demanding and less familiar situations using precedent and own acquired knowledge.
Has high visibility to PMT Fabrication Team and Contractor & Subcontractors. Recognizes that errors have significant impact on external parties.
Ensure there is quality, effectiveness and consistency in fabrication processes, systems, procedures and work products while adhering to established fabrication processes and quality procedures
This role requires strong leadership and technical experience to drive the Contractor and his local subcontractors to execute the fabrication scope of work according to the quality requirements and implementation of lessons learned from past projects.
Maintain interfaces with Yard Fabrication team to ensure that quality issues are resolved promptly and effectively
Coordinate with the inspectors to ensure that all related quality issues are identified, communicated and rectified
Implement Quality Management system for assessment and verification of Contactor Activities.
Provide feedback on quality issues; expedite closure of lessons learned; provide feedback on quality performance generally
Actively participate in safety management programs including attendance at site safety walks and issuance of observation cards
Providing continual communication, reporting and close coordination with the Head of Quality and Quality Division Manager on Contractor, Sub-contractor and Vendor quality performance
Conduct other quality related tasks as directed by the Head of Quality
Manage non-conformance and technical deviations in close collaboration with the Head of Quality and Site engineering team.
Lessons Learned process to continuously capture quality learnings from fabrication activities and to use them to develop and optimize process or specification improvements
Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering
Additional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications
8 years' experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
Experience in working in large-scale operating Organizations in Operations and projects
Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications and tools
Knowledge of Industry standards
Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills
Ability to manage development and implementation of Quality Management Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry
Ability to interact with project management team and Contractors confidently
Requires strong analytical, organizational and planning skills
