A global leader in offshore floating production systems-renowned for delivering complex deep-water developments-is seeking a Project Environmental & Social (E&S) Engineer for a 12-month (renewable) contract based in Rotterdam. The role will support the Group Financing team across both the EPC and Operations phases of one of Guyana's largest deep-water FPSO projects, a multi-billion-dollar development.
EPC Phase
Lead stakeholder engagement with internal project and finance teams, as well as external ESG banks, lenders, third parties, and the E&S advisor.
Organize E&S-related training sessions.
Prepare the annual Pre-Operational Monitoring Report.
Develop, implement, and track progress of the Construction Environmental & Social Management Plan (ESMP).
Coordinate ERM site visits and associated reporting for the Annual Monitoring Report.
Follow up on E&S risks identified in the Environmental & Social Due Diligence (ESDD).
Monitor implementation and closure of ESAP actions in coordination with action owners.
Support the creation and implementation of the Operational ESMP with the Operations team.
Operations Phase
Collect monthly environmental and social KPIs from Shore-base and FPSO teams; ensure accuracy, documentation, and internal reporting.
Annually provide all relevant FPSO, social, and environmental data to the lender-approved E&S advisor and support drafting of the Annual Progress Report.
Incorporate internal stakeholder feedback and finalize the Annual Progress Report for Corporate Finance submission to lenders and ECAs.
Coordinate responses to lender and ECA comments in collaboration with the E&S advisor and internal action owners
Sustainability Engineer (or similar) with 5+ years of oil & gas experience, including exposure to construction and/or operations.
Strong stakeholder-management capabilities and experience working within multi-disciplinary, international project teams.
Solid understanding of E&S risk management, reporting, and lender requirements.
Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
