Introduction

Brunel is hiring a Project Control Lead to wotk with a Major Oil and Gas cllient in Carlsbad, NM on a Long Term Contract!

What are you going to do

Provide cost, schedule, and progress control leadership, including reporting and forecasting
Develop and maintain CBS, OCB/CCB, project schedules, and budgeting processes
Lead Project Controls Plan and Management of Change (MOC) processes
Conduct monthly stewardship reviews and support Gate/approval milestones
Coordinate estimating, planning, and cost control activities
Analyze project performance, identify risks, and prepare forecasts
Interface with finance on budgets, AFEs, invoices, and work-in-place
Oversee contractor performance in cost, schedule, and progress control
Review and endorse contractor baselines, forecasts, and change proposals
Support corrective actions and recovery plans
Lead project controls team and coordinate across stakeholders
Mentor team members and ensure alignment on key deliverables
Support reporting, presentations, and project close-out activities

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
Strong experience in cost and schedule project controls
Supervisory experience required
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Willing to relocate and work on-site/overseas
