Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Shift Superintendent to join their team on a contractual basis. This exciting opportunity is based in Milan, Italy, with a focus on managing the engineering phase of an LNG project. Our client is a leader in the oil and gas sector, offering a competitive daily rate and the chance to work in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
What are you going to do
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production shift teams to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
- Review engineering documents to align with company expectations.
- Develop production procedures and implement key production processes (e.g., PTW, logs, Simops).
- Participate in Hazop and engineering reviews and define a start-up sequence prioritizing reduced emissions.
- Recruit and train production staff, emphasizing the development of local Mozambican talent.
- Implement digital solutions, including digital twin technology and PI systems.
Essential skills and knowledge
Required Skills
- Proven ability to manage 100+ staff in a high-paced production environment.
- Over 20 years of experience in l, gas, or petrochemical industries with at least 10 years in LNG production plants.
- Strong aptitude for reviewing and ensuring engineering documents meet industry and company standards.
- Adept at creating efficient production workflows, tools, and digital solutions.
