What are you going to do 

Brunel is currently searching for a Process Engineer for direct hire with our mining client located between Phoenix and Tucson in Arizona. As part of the Technical Services team, in this role you'll help lead the design, optimization, and execution of core processes related to ISCR and Solvent Extraction/Electrowinning (SX/EW) operations. You'll collaborate across engineering, operations, and environmental teams to drive performance, integrate new technology, and ensure the long-term success of our client's clean mining initiatives.

Duties:* Drive process design, implementation, and continuous improvement for ISCR and SX/EW systems.
* Lead or support construction/design work for plant expansions and system modifications.* Identify and implement plant process changes to improve chemical usage, equipment performance, and recovery efficiency.
* Analyze plant data to monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.* Collaborate with technical teams to pilot new technologies and scale solutions that lower cost and increase sustainability.
* Use modeling and simulation tools to test process scenarios and predict outcomes.* Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* Develop and maintain process documentation, reports, and project records.* Support multi-disciplinary teams with technical input and operational insights.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, or Metallurgical Engineering (or related field).
* 3+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in mining, chemical, or industrial plant environments.* MUST HAVE experience in mining or SXEW experience.
* Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, Aspen Plus) and data analysis tools.* Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations in mining or industrial operations.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.* Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Must have full cycle, cradle to grave process change experience.* Hands-on experience in SX/EW or hydrometallurgical operations preferred.
* Knowledge of in-situ recovery techniques preferred.* Strong project management abilities preferred.
* Passion for sustainability and clean technology in mining.* MUST be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without the need for sponsorship.
