Introduction

  • The Planning Engineer supports the Senior Planning Engineer in planning, monitoring, and controlling Project schedule, and progress performance across Major Projects, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, Project objectives, and Company standards.
  • The role assists in preparing and analyzing Project schedules and progress reports, enabling accurate tracking of Project performance and supporting informed decision-making.

What are you going to do

  • Key responsibilities related to COMPANY's Integrated Management Systems, which include ensuring awareness and compliance with policies concerning quality, environment, occupational health and safety, responsible care, energy management, and IFA product stewardship.
  • Employees must prioritize and implement these requirements in daily project activities, strictly adhere to HSE and quality standards, actively participate in safety practices, and maintain knowledge of the Project Information Manual (PIM) and its procedures.
  • Project management duties cover several areas:
    • Project Planning & Scheduling: Oversee and ensure contractors develop and maintain comprehensive, contract-compliant schedules across all project phases, lead baseline schedule approvals, monitor progress, manage planning tools, and recommend recovery plans as needed.
    • Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report progress, validate contractor reports, prepare executive summaries, support presentations, and maintain accurate, auditable planning records.
    • Resource Planning: Ensure development and validation of manpower plans, productivity tracking, and resource allocations, and facilitate document control for planning deliverables.
    • Change & Risk Management: Conduct schedule risk assessments, identify and mitigate risks, evaluate impacts of changes, support claims assessment, and maintain a risk register.
    • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare schedule inputs for reports and reviews, maintain centralized records, and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
    • Coordination & Strategic Support: Collaborate with project teams for schedule alignment, support planning meetings, and drive process improvements.
    • Project close-out, change initiation, risk reporting, and lessons learned must be managed according to the PIM and related procedures.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 7 years' work experience, with at least 3-5 years in in major projects
  • Bachelor's Degree (12+4 years)
  • Professional Certification
