Introduction

On behalf of our Client, a World Leader within the Energy / Oil & Gas industry, Brunel is presently sourcing a Payroll Advisor to support HR People Services. This will be initially a 12 month contract with a possible view to extend, located in the heart of the Perth CBD.

What are you going to do 

  • Accurate and timely execution of salaries and wages including the execution of payroll
  • Maintaining employee, salary and leave records
  • Resolving and payroll queries across the organisation
  • Understanding and meeting all regulatory or business standards requirements - Superannuation and compliance including preparation of upload file to clearing house / Payroll Tax and compliance / STP & PAYG and compliance / Leave Liability reconciliation / Income Protection reporting / Workers' Compensation
  • System testing for enhancements and support pack / legislative changes
  • Preparing Management reports within the payroll system
  • Assisting with and ultimately performing the preparation of redundancy calculations and terminations
  • Support payroll audit activities x 4 per year
  • Provide full back-up to the Lead Payroll Advisor
  • Yearly reporting for EY, Salary Continuance and Workers' Compensation
  • Assist with and ultimately perform year-end STP reconciliation and close-out, ISTIP, Remuneration Review and FBT reporting

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Previous end-to-end payroll experience AND/OR relevant certifications
  • SAP HR AND/OR Payroll modules
  • Experience in reconciliation / preparation of all regulatory requirements
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Accurate record keeping and report management
  • Dealing effectively with payroll / HRIS audits
  • Experienced in establishing system processes and procedures
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Previous experience in the Resource sector OR an industry with multiple shifts, rotations, FIFO, etc
  • Exposure to SuccessFactors EC / ECP is desirable
