Introduction:

Our client's Technology Commissioning and Systems Transition team is seeking a P6 Scheduler to support the planning, scheduling, and execution of technology-related projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6, integrating key milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting and scheduling of technology commissioning and system transition activities.
  • Identify potential schedule risks, constraints, and conflicts, providing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Track project progress, update schedules, and generate reports to support decision-making and project tracking.
  • Coordinate with various teams to align schedules with BHP's broader project portfolio and operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with BHP's scheduling standards, procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Support scheduling-related reporting and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in project scheduling and controls.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within mining, technology commissioning, or large-scale industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, critical path analysis, and resource leveling.
  • Experience working in technology deployment, system transitions, or commissioning environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret engineering and construction schedules and align them with technology project timelines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

  • This role is required to be on-site, located in Saskatoon office
