Introduction

We are recruiting a Obsolescence management Engineer to join one of our leading multinational clients and their expanding team. This position is based in Hazira and offers an excellent opportunity for experienced proposal management professionals in the Conventional sector.

What are you going to do 

Position: Obsolescence management Engineer - Equipment selection.

Contract: On Contract Role.

The Obsolescence management Engineer shall be able to Reverse engineer & identify Products, vendors based on specifications and performance requirements for various types installed components/equipment's, analyse technical suitability, recommend most ‘fit for purpose’ replacement. Experience in Creating material buying specification with reference to International Stds, bid comparison & deviation tables/ BOQs. The Engineer shall also support in technical bid evaluation, Review QAP/ITP and test certificates for dispatch clearance and on receipt Inspect at site.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Instrumentation /Electrical engineering with 5-6 Years of Experience or Diploma in Mechanical engineering with 8-10 years of experience
  • Two+ years of experience in obsolescence management, component engineering, or supply chain management.
  • Preferred to have Experience with component selection, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Basic working proficiency of MS Excel, Power Point / Power BI.
