Location: Weihai, China | Offshore & Marine Sector Contract: 1-Year Renewable
We are supporting a globally recognised shipowner and maritime operator known for delivering technically advanced, next-generation vessels operating in demanding offshore environments. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality and operational excellence, this organisation is expanding its site team to support ongoing newbuild programs at leading international shipyards.
Oversee installation, connection, patrolling, and testing of NavCom, IT, and owner-supplied systems.
Coordinate third-party engineers and support system integration across IT, OT, and navigation platforms.
Attend inspections, Mechanical/Electrical Completion (MC/EC), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and Sea Trials.
Ensure systems meet specifications, approved drawings, class rules, and operational readiness for delivery.
Troubleshoot, debug, and handover systems to vessel crew.
Maintain accurate records: software versions, user credentials, serial numbers, and technical documentation.
Submit structured weekly reports and follow up on technical comments.
Review procedures and drawings when delegated, proactively addressing technical and construction issues.
Comply with IMS, HSE, quality, environmental, and ethics policies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Navigation, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Computer Technology, or related field
Fluent in English
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Minimum 5 years as a Commissioning Engineer in offshore or marine environments
Strong knowledge of navigation, communication, IT, and OT systems, including integration
Experience in shipyard newbuild environments highly desirable
