Brunel is currently searching for a Metallurgical Principal Engineer for a direct- hire, hybrid position with our mining client in Phoenix, AZ.

About the Role:
As the Metallurgical Principal Engineer, you will provide expert guidance and technical leadership to support strategic initiatives, major projects, and continuous improvement efforts. Your work will influence project execution, drive process enhancements, and strengthen technical capability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:* Review, investigate, and recommend solutions for complex engineering projects and technical challenges.
* Align engineering activities with long-term business strategies.* Collaborate across site and project teams to meet quality, safety, and operational standards.
* Apply advanced metallurgical engineering expertise to solve technical problems and deliver innovative solutions.* Stay informed on industry trends and implement best practices.
* Mentor and develop engineering talent.* Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting in engineering areas.
Qualifications:* Bachelor's in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering with 7+ years' experience, OR Master's with 5+ years, OR PhD with 3+ years.
* Advanced knowledge of extractive metallurgy and/or mineral processing engineering.* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Proven ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.* Understanding of occupational hazards and safety practices.
* Leadership and mentoring experience preferred.
Compensation & Benefits* Base salary: $116,000-$162,500 (based on experience & qualifications).
